We leave for Hawaii in a week. Wow.
I am (finally) so excited to go. I was very, very worried about it at first. Between leaving the kids and feeling like we can't afford it the vacation was more trouble than anything else. But we finally have everything figured out as far as who will take care of my babies, and I feel good about it. As far as the money goes, I've just resigned myself to spending more than we can afford and worrying about it later.
Anyway - it's sneaking up on me. I have lots to do before we go. It's time I get started on it all!
This morning Tessa asked when we are leaving. She said she's "ready to have some time" - I think she means some time with Sterling and Deanna (they will be taking care of the kids). It's comforting to know that she's excited for us to leave! lol Honestly, though, I hope she has a great time and doesn't miss us. Asher, too. I don't want them to be sad while we are gone, and I don't want Sterling and Deanna to have to deal with kids that want their parents! They are so good with the kids, though, I'm sure they'll be fine no matter what. Sterling's biggest fear is doing Tessa's hair in the morning for school!
Yesterday we bought a Nintendo Wii. Spending $400 on a gaming system and all the stuff that you need to go with it is SO not Matt and I! But it's really cool. I'm excited that we got it. Last night Matt and I boxed until after 11:00! My right arm is so sore this morning...it ws totally worth it, though - I am the boxing champ. I'm better than Matt - which is just amazing to me. I always expect him to be better than me at everything, so it's a fun suprise when he's not!
Today I have grocery shopping to do and a couple of errands to run. I'd like to get the paper for the invitations to Matt's Birthday Party. We're having it on February 9th, it would be nice to have the invitations ready to give out soon after we're back from Hawaii. He decided on a Mardi Gras themed party this year instead of poker. I'm excited! There are few things I enjoy more than throwing a party :)
I suppose that's it for today - nothing big is going on, I just had a moment to ramble so I thought I'd do it here. More (hopefully more interesting!) later.
