How often does that happen?

Bear Lake is one of my favorite places to boat...the lake is gorgeous, the town is adorable and the campsites are the best I've ever used. Unfortunately, we don't get there too often. It's a popular place, and by the time we decide we want to go, there are often no campsites left!

This year we got so, so lucky.
We decided we wanted to go, talked to some friends about it and booked the trip and everything.just.worked.out perfectly...how often does that happen???

Our neighbors the Dresslers (Ron and Louise) and the Beckers (Scott and Felicia) and all their kids joined us. We were a big, rowdy group!

After our last trip to Deer Creek we decided a longer camping trip before the end of the summer would be fun, so we planned a 2 night trip to Bear Lake with our neighbors the Dresslers (Louise and Ron) and the Beckers (Scott and Felicia.)
It was an amazing time.
Spencer is 4, Asher is 5, Ace is 6, Sydnee is 7, Alec is 8, Tessa is 9 and Jules is 10 – ALL of the kids got along incredibly well, with NO fighting!

The big kids (Sam is 14 and Scotty is 16) helped keep an eye on everyone and it was just a wonderfully relaxing trip. I actually napped on a lounge chair on the beach one afternoon...how often does THAT happen? LOL

The weather was gorgeous, the lake was like glass, and the company was perfect.

We are earlier risers than most, so we saw the sunrise from the beach both mornings. Gorgeous!

Our only complaint was a gang of skunks that terrorized us the first night, but even they weren’t too bad!
We had such a great time that we’re already planning next Summers trips. We’re calling it the summer of extreme camping, and planning to go every 2nd or 3rd weekend starting at the end of June and going all through July and August. Not sure how often it will REALLY happen - but I’m already excited!

It’s surprising…12 years ago, when we got married, I NEVER would have expected to love camping. It’s all about the company you keep J
