CHOP!

I did it!

There were hours of agonizing - I won't lie to you.
But in the end, I knew it was the right thing to do.

A picture tells a thousand words, right?  Here's the story :)

Before

During

After

(ignore my super-dorky expression in photo #1 of the 'before' collage - I included it only for the hair)

Becki did an AMAZING job, I haven't missed my ridiculously long hair a bit.  She took just under 9 inches off in pig tails.  I'll be sending them to Pantene to be made into wigs for cancer patients around the nation. (If anyone else is interested in donating, you can learn more about it here.)
The haircut is adorable - she copied the picture I brought her perfectly - as usual!

Here's a top 10 list of the best things about having shorter hair
10. A shower cap actually covers it all!
9.  I can put a shirt on without having the pull my hair out of it.
8.  I don't have to move my hair before putting the diaper bag over my shoulder.
7.  I don't have phantom hairs tickling the back of my arms.
6.  Sucking up shorter hair plays less havoc with the roller in the vacume cleaner.
5.  I don't have to wear a ponytail all the time - fewer headaches!
4.  It takes less than 40 minutes to wash my it!
3.  Matt can't pull it as easily ;P
2.  I can turn my head in the car to check my blind spot without leaning forward to relase the hair that's caught behind my back.
1.  I can roll over in bed at night without readjusting everything (including Matt)

I really like the new look! Your hair looks great long or short, but donating is a great reason to cut it off. Katelyn wants to cut her hair to her shoulders! Ahh! If we really do it then we'll donate for sure.

Wow, I can't believe how long it was. You're new do looks great, of course! Love the top 10. I've never had long enough hair to have those concerns (just the phantom hair).
