Schools Out!

As unreal as it seems - another school year has passed.
This one seemed SO SHORT.  Impossible that 9 months have passed since we started 1st grade.

Last year we missed the last week of school when we went to Houston, so this was Tessa's first experience with "Spirit Week"
Monday was Hat Day
Tuesday was Crazy Hair Day
Wednesday was Multi-Cultural Day
Thursday was Field Day
Friday was Free Dress Day

She LOVED every activity.  Monday she chose to wear her "Moody Equipment" hat to school.  We actually forgot it was hat day until after we picked up our carpool buddy and saw he had a hat on - so we ran back home for it.  I figured no one cares if the kids are late during the last week of school!

Tuesday I did this to her hair

Wednesday I just put red, white and blue accessories on her and told her our culture was American.  What else were we going to do?!
Later I found out it didn't necessarily need to be YOUR culture.  Whatever.

Thursday morning Tessa's class had Field Day.  Thursday afternoon I threw a class party - all outside games.  The kids were exhausted by the time loading rolled around.  I'm sure they all slept well last night!

This was Tessa on her first day of school in her uniform.
Here she is this morning - 9 months later.
She's grown so much lately!  I mean - she hasn't gotten any taller (lol) but she's so grown up sometimes!

We are really looking forward to the Summer.  We're all signed up for swim lessons, they begin June 16.  Ash get's to take this year, too!
