Uh-Oh...a political post!

I try not to pass stuff like this on too often...
I just don't want to start anything I'm not willing to back up - and fist fights with family members suck.

BUT I liked this one too much not to share it.

To be fair to both sides...
The ranking was done in 2000, so it's not all that current. Apparently WHO no long produces this list, as it was too complicated and time intesive. (seriously? you could get an intern or two to do this for you???)
Also, some people cry that the ranking isn't fair, as it's based on 5 different criteria, and not just the quality of care.
1. Health Level 25%
2. Health Distribution 25%
3. Responsiveness 12.5%
4. Responsiveness Distribution 12.5%
5. Financial Fairness 25%
Personally, I think all those things are important. Doesn't really matter how great the care is if it's unavailable, too slow or too expensive.

Done now! Hope you enjoyed the song :)

Thanks enjoyed the song.Figure regardless of political party we can all agree that reform is needed! What kind of reform? Well that's where the fist fights usually start!

Have you ever researched WHO? Closely connected with the UN, who gave an AWARD to a ruthless dictator. Every checked why Cuba has a low mortality rate for newborns? Because they have the highest ABORTION rate; doctors recommend late term abortions for any woman with ANY complications.
There are so many flaws in that research and it has been so criticized--THAT is why they won't produce it again.
If our healthcare system itself sucks, why do dignitaries and those who run governments of foreign countries come here for treatment?
Our system "sucks" BECAUSE of the government involvement. It dictates everything, including not being able to buy insurance across state lines. Is Obama going to fix that? No. He refuses to.
In addition, name one person that did NOT get care in a hospital. Just one. That's the issue. We treat so many people that have no insurance and refuse to pay, or are illegal to the country. The rest of us pick up the tab. So instead of picking it up on the back end, we will be forced to pick it up on the front end PLUS 10 levels of administration to do it. Our costs are going to skyrocket. Ask Great Britain; they have more administrators than doctors, according to Daniel Hannan, of Parliament.
The issue is lowering insurance costs, which cannot happen as long as the government dictates WHAT can be charged through medicaid and medicare, who pay so little and take so long to pay the cost is passed on to consumers.
In the end, though, which is more ironic; that we will willingly spend $1000 for a television and complain about the bill to save our lives, or let the government take care of us and call ourselves a "free" country?

Dawn,
We are BOUND to disagree on this! I'm as staunch a Dem as you are Republican.
Thanks for the comment. Your opinion is always well thought out - which is more than I can say for a lot of people!
We should have a political debate board over at May Babies! Wouldn't that be fun! ;p
