I just updated my profile, since I didn't actually enter anything when I set up the blog.
In the 'about me' box is says "write as much or as little as you'd like - up to 1200 characters"
So I wrote a description of myself and my family - and I thought I was keeping it concise - but it turned out to be about 3 times the length allowed!
So I'm posting it here. Because it's been written and because it contains good information about us!
I've been a stay at home mom since July, 2006 and I love it. Prior to that I worked in the mortgage/home building industry for 8 years.
I have dozens of hobbies and interests. I like to sew and scrapbook, I love TV and movies, I read constantly. I always need to lose 10 pounds, so I work out every day in my home gym in the basement. I love to cook and bake and throw parties. I have a strong interest in photography and I'd love to expand on my skills.
I married my high school sweetheart when we were both just 19 and we've been living happily ever after since then- knock on wood! I know how fragile marriages are and I'm thankful every day that mine seems to be solid.
Matt works with his dad, Jesse. Jesse started his own business several years ago and has been very successful. Matt went to work with him 4 years ago in order to go back to school and has since then decided that he loves the work and wants to eventually buy the business. I'd just like to say that I called this one from the beginning :) Even when he said he NEVER wanted to own his own business, deal with the headaches, etc, I knew...
He works very hard and takes a lot of pride in his work. I am so proud of him and his work ethic. He works 50+ hours a week and attends the University of Utah part time for a degree in Mechanical Engineering. On top of all that he wins the husband/father of the year award. <3 class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">labrador/retreiver and we've had her for 7 years. She seems to be aging better than Indy, but the two are very close. I'm afraid Allie won't last long without her 'sister'. Our girls are so good with the kids it's amazing. We love dogs and will probably always have 2.
We live at the top of a mountain, just out of reach of the smog :) We have beautiful views and clear air and better weather - 10 degrees cooler in the summer and 10 degrees warmer in the winter. The benefits far outweigh the one detriment, which is, of course, the 15 minute trek up the mountain and all the gas it burns. We are very happy with our location - although it does get old to hear certain family members and friends b*tch about the drive! ;)
I don't know what else I could possible tell you about my little family - so now you know it all!
