Police Dog

I know it seems like I've dropped off the face of the planet - I'm still here!
It's Red Ribbon week at Tessa's school and I've been SUPER busy with that. Planning last week and executing this week. It's been hectic! I promise I have lots to catch up on as soon as it's over!

I had to pop on to share Asher's latest funny, though...
Yesterday was the Red Ribbon Week assembly. I asked the Draper City police to come and speak and for their K9 unit to put on a show for us. They did it last year and it was awesome, so I was really looking forward to it.
Yesterday morning I was telling Asher what we were going to do that day. Preschool in the morning, then lunch and grocery shopping, then to Tessa's school for an assembly! I told him there would be a dog show and the police were going to show us how the dogs attacked people.
He was excited! After a minute he said "mom, is it going to be Indy, or Allie? Because Indy just walks around, you know..."
(Indy is getting quite old and decrepit. The idea of her attacking anyone must have been pretty incredulous to Ash!)
I laughed and told him no - the police have a police dog that will be there! Not our dogs!
So then he said "oh! does the police dog like, have a uniform?"

I thought it was absolutely adorable that he was picturing a dog in a uniform! What a funny boy!
