Hair, and other stuff

Tessa brought home a cold from school. So far I'm the only one that's picked it up - despite washing my hands raw and drowning myself in hot tea. Hopefully we can keep it between the two of us, since the boys had the stomach flu so badly! The cold isn't awful...sinus ickiness (alternating between stuffy and runny, depending on whichever is most irritating at the time, I think), swollen glands, a bit of a sore throat, and a nasty headache. I went to bed early last night, Matt drugged me up enough that I slept pretty well, despite not being able to breath.
Tessa had it a few days before I did and seems to be pretty much over it already. Though last night and again this morning she told me she didn't know if she should go to school. Apparently the teachers have been telling them that if they are even a TINY bit sick they should stay home. Or, at least that's what Tessa is relaying. I can't imagine they actually want kids with a cough or runny nose to stay home. They'd miss so much school! No reason for that, IMO.

We both should be over it in a few days, tops. And if we're careful we should be able to prevent Matt and Asher from getting it. At least, that's the plan!
Our immune systems ought to be good to go after these first few weeks back in school! We're building lots of antibodies, right?

Asher got a much needed haircut yesterday! It's been only about 6 weeks since his last cut, and Becki took over an inch off, she said. The kids hair grows like crazy! He looks like a new man now! Here are before and after pictures:
How cute is he?! Though these aren't great pictures...poor kid is about as photogenic as I am. Matt and Tessa are the ones that always look good in pictures.

Oh - speaking of hair! We had Killian and Andrea over for dinner on Sunday. Tessa tried on her whole flower girl ensamble (minus tights, because she has a hard enough time wearing them once withough ripping them!) She looked adorable, of course, and Kill and Andrea seemed to love it. We also went over a whole plethura of hairdo photos that I've been taking over the last few weeks so that Andrea could choose her favorite. She liked the sponge curler ringlets best, so that's what we'll do! Now I just need to experiement to find out which way of rolling them produces the best results. I was going to put them in last night, but the cold attacked me and I gave in - laying on the couch and watching Monday Night Football (go Steelers!)
Anyway, hopefully tonight I'll get some practice in. Last time the curls were REALLY tight. Becki suggested using much bigger sections of hair.
Here she is with her ringlets:

The wedding is in less than 2 weeks!!! It's crazy how that happened. They had a fairly long engagement, but it still managed to sneak up on us all. I'm excited to see Matt all dresses up in a Tux as a groomsman and Tessa so pretty in her flower girl dress. Still have to find something for Ash and I to wear!!!
