Sad New Year

Our New Years party this year was pretty sad.

Don't get me wrong - we had a good time!  Friends were here, we played games...

But New Years is usually a big party!  

Not so much this year.

I was sick (see previous post) and a very sad hostess.  Mostly I just sat on the floor and asked Matt to get me stuff.  A drink, a cough drop, a tissue, some vaseline.  

We torched the tree at midnight and everyone was gone by 12:35.  I was asleep about 10 minutes after that.

We didn't even take many pictures.  I took half a dozen of people playing guitar hero, Matt did the same.  Mary was nice enough to take some of the tree burning for me, since I didn't care to step outside.

See how sad I was?

I love this awful picture - because that's exactly how I felt.  lol
