Becki and I went and had facials on Thursday afternoon. We go every year for my Birthday, usually with friends. This year, though, I waited until the last minute to make appointments, and Thursday was the only day we were able to make it. We'll have to go again in a few weeks and invite friends - just to make sure no one feels left out ;)

Tessa helped me make cupcakes Friday night for the party. She loves using beaters!
She likes licking them even better, though.
Later I filled the insides with homemade chocolate mousse and frosted them with homemade chocolate frosting...I called them 'death by chocolate cupcake' - they were a hit :)
Matt and the kids gave me this composter for my Birthday - I've been wanting one for ages. Matt always comes up with great gifts for me - he's got a wonderful memory for things I say I want. What a fantastic quality in a husband!!!
The Murder Mystery party was a blast. It's the second one we've thrown, the first was in July 2007 and was a 1920's theme.
This one was a Wild West theme. People dressed up pretty elaborately - everyone looked great!
Here's one of my favorite pictures...
Months ago, Becki and I split the cost of a fake hair piece, so that after we both chopped out hair off and donated it we could still have long hair occasionally. We found one that matched our color really well, Becki wore it to the party and it looked perfect. After all the pictures had been taken she took it off, and Matt put it on. He looked so ridiculously funny that I actually fell onto the floor I was laughing so hard. Luckily, Jon took the camera from me and captured the moment.
Here he is - Matt with a mullet!
P.S. - all the cigarettes you see everyone with are made of bubble gum :)
Happy Birthday to me!
