One morning, years ago, Tessa had a few pieces of cereal in her bowl that were stuck together. She was delighted by the stack of rings and showed them to me. I told her that the stuck together ones had always been my favorites.
Ever since then, she's always shown me every single piece of cereal that was stuck together. For a long time (until I told her it wasn't necessary) she would put them in my place at the table and tell me - "I saved all your favorite ones for you!"
For the past year or so, Asher has done the same thing. Stuck together cereal is a big deal at our house. I exclaim how "cool!" it is several mornings a week.
The other afternoon at lunch Asher went nuts - "Mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy! Look at this!!!!"
He'd found Goldfish crackers that hadn't completely popped free of the cracker sheet that they are apparently produced on. I had no idea they were made this way! Not that it was something I'd ever thought of...
Anyway, I was appropriately excited - enough to grab the camera!
I had a hard time making the camera focus on the crackers, and the flash was far too bright -
No matter where I took the picture, the contrast wasn't quite right.
Plus, Asher wasn't cooperating -
I ended up with of those dreaded "pause" expressions (you know - like when you pause the TV while some gorgeous actress is composing her face and end up with something hideous? I love it when that happens.)
But before I could get something decent (before the camera could even recover, actually!) he decided he was tired of talking about the cracker, and ate it, instead.
Apparently it was yummy :)
