When it rains...

Monday morning Matt got a really nasty chemical burn when a gasoline additive sprayed all over his leg.
Quite the welcome back after a week away from work!
Poor guy had to strip off his clothes immediately. I'm not sure exactly how that happened, but in my imagination it's just him tearing off his pants while a bunch of other guys stare, open-mouthed.
He tried to wash off in the sink at the shop, but ended up coming home to jump in the shower because the area was too big.
I was out grocery shopping at the time. I came home to find a pile of clothes on the garage floor and the bathroom counter littered with dermaplast and aloe vera.
He had to throw away his work boots because the chemical soaked through the soles. We're talking about thick, steel toed work boots, too. His poor feet look awful!
I was shocked to see the burns when he got home from work that night - and so was he! He hadn't really looked at them before, but they run from the heel of his foot all the way to just under his butt.
They are so strange looking - I've never seen chemical burns before! The skin is discolored a purple-ish brown - it looks like a birth mark more than a burn.
He wraps a wet towel around his leg right when he gets home, and keeps one on all night, even while he sleeps. Poor guy!
