Grades

I know I promised just one Tessa update every several weeks...
But I lied.

We had parent teacher conferences again this week.  Tessa's teacher gave her a wonderful review.  She has A's in all subjects and is a great student.  She is even showing improvement in staying in her seat and raising her hand - yay, Tessa!

We also got the results of the recent MAP testing they did.
Ms. McKee said that as this was Tessa's first experience with MAP testing, her score should prove low compared to what it will be in the future, because the format (computer testing) is unfamiliar and tends to throw the students off.  Not sure if that will happen or not - she is pretty familiar with computers, after all.

At any rate - Tessa did SO well!
First grade was tested in Math and in Language Arts.  The evaluation included the nationwide average, the schools average, and Tessa's score and percentile.

In Math, the nationwide average score is 170 (all of 200)
Summit Academy's average score is 186
Tessa's score was 193.  She scored in the 98th percentile.

In Reading/Language Arts, the nationwide score is 166
Summit Academy's average score is 183
Tessa scored 190, she was in the 99th percentile.

That's it - just a short brag about what a genius our girl is :)
Don't tell me you're not impressed!
