Happy Earth Day!

Yesterday was Earth Day.  We celebrated by bringing the barbecue out of hibernation and grilling up some hot dogs and hamburgers.  It was SO good.

Had some salad, too, of course.

Tastes like Summer :)

We also got my Composter all set up!  Monday I bought some planks at Ikea for it to sit on.  I dug out the grass and leveled the ground so it would have a nice home.  Yesterday Matt helped me move it.  Now I just need to scoop a whole Winters' worth of dog poop (if you think imagining it is bad, you should try actually doing it) so I can mow the lawn.  I have lots of food scraps in the composter, but need some yard waste!

Last Earth Day thing - Tessa wrote this essay in school yesterday:

I can help save the earth by planting a tree. I can help save the earth by digging a hole and put seeds in it and watering them.  I can help save the earth by recycling, reducing, reusing.  I can help save the earth by putting my garbage in the trash can.

Yay, Tessa!
